Welcome to BSA Troop 78 in Wylie TX! We meet most Monday nights from 7 - 8:30pm at the First Baptist Wylie Events Center in downtown Wylie TX. If you would like to come for a visit, please contact us so we can make sure that your visit is a memorable one. We are look forward to meeting you.

Jungle Take Down is rescheduled for Saturday, June 1, 2013

Join Samuel as he takes on His Eagle Project!

It is not too late to register !

It is time to see the creek. We will be using saws and loppers to cut down trees and bushes to clear space for play, and gain views of the creek below.

Lunch (can you say grilled hot dogs and fix'ins) and drinks will be provided, as well as the proper tools.
What you need to bring:
• Yourself
• work gloves (if you have them)
• long sleeve shirt
• long pants
• eye protection (if you have any)
• MOTIVATION
Gloves and eye protection will be provided for those who need them

We will meet at 9 AM on Saturday, June1, 2013 in the parking lot in front of the Pavilion.
Directions from Wylie:
1. West on FM 544 to Murphy Road
2. Turn Right on Murphy Road
3. Turn right at Tom Kimbrough Stadium (1st traffic light)
4. Drive straight back to Pavilion and basketball court

We look forward to seeing the whole Troop!

Come and join the fun on Friday, May 10th @ 5:00pm. Please wear your full uniform. Our Troop annually helps out in a big way with set up, games, Survivor's Tent, registration, food service, clean up and more! We may be called upon to perform the flag ceremony - more on this later.

Swimming Merit Badge

Swimming Merit Badge Update from Mrs. Eustice:

So far I have Cailin Stewart, Isaac Lopez, Brandon Carroll, Matt Parker and Blake Taber. I can take three more for the class and they should be scouts that are needing to finish up the Swimming Merit Badge. According to the last print out from TroopMaster those scouts are: Hayden Austin, Nolan Cooper, Joey Mozzillo and Ian Wilkinson. Scout Master approval will be required.

Annual Health and Medical Record Forms - A MUST for Summer Camp!

All Scouts, Crew members, and Adult leaders will need to complete and turn in the Annual Health and Medical Records form for 2013. All scouts and leaders will need to fill out Parts A and B, with those participating in Summer Camping programs also needing to complete Part C. Be sure to include a copy, front and back, of your medical insurance card and a copy of your immunization records.
