Mr. David Wille, of Troop 1776, will make a 15-20
minute presentation to the troop at around 7:15.  He will be the Scoutmaster of a provisional troop
established out of Troop 1776 for the purpose of attending the Jamboree.  He will advise on the number of additional spots that remain in the troop along with the availability of

Where: Olde City Park in Downtown Wylie

When: Saturday, August 27, 8AM-1PM (Come and go as you can)


This year, all of the Scout Units in Wylie are holding a big recruiting extravaganza at Olde City Park.  Each Unit will have games or some other scouting display to show potential new members some of the fun they could have as a Scout. This is the event that the Wylie ISD Superintendent, Dr. Vinson mentioned in his latest blog.

We will be conducting an Archery Merit Badge Class in two sessions. You must attend both sessions to complete the merit badge.

Philmont 2017

Philmont 2017 is scheduled for July 4 to July 16, 2017
We have room for 12 Scouts and 4 Scouters (2 crews)
To get us started we're planning a "Prep" meeting. Any scout or scouter who is interested in attending Philmont 2017 is encouraged to attend
Scouts will first be assigned to a crew based on the scout's age (whether they are close to aging out of Boy Scouts)
When all "soon-to-age-out" scouts who are interested in going have signed up, the remaining slots will be available to scouts First Class and above

The Eagle Cafe is Open for Business!

The Eagle Cafe is once again open for business!!  This Monday, bring your money for award-winning cupcakes and lemonade!  BRANDON CARROLL is raising funds for his EAGLE PROJECT.  He is in the WEHS Culinary program and his team won the cupcake championship this year - so, yes!  They are GOOD!  Please bring your money and enjoy the refreshments, all the while supporting Brandon and his project!  Cafe opens at 6:30pm

Due to a scout dropping out of Northern Tier we have 1 open seat. Cost is $1450.00 and we need your response a.s.a.p. Dates are June 11 - June 22. Scouts need to be at least 14 and obtain Scoutmaster approval. Please contact Mr Palmer (214.499.5745 or with quesitons or to sign-up.
